The International Collection, a line of classic Omega dress watches, was introduced in 1965 by Omega and called “US Collection” for the US market. Omega movements, dials and other components were made in Switzerland and assembled in the US with US-made cases.
 
This gorgeous timepiece is a classic vintage Omega automatic watch, reference KM6312 and dated from 1969 and still in pristine condition!
 
It is a self-winding watch powered by an original Omega movement caliber 563, 17 jewels, sweep second, date indicator (quickset by repeated pulling the crown), 19,800 A/h, 50-hour power reserve, Swiss made.
 
In lovely condition, this watch still has the original sunburst champagne dial featuring gold applied hour markers, luminous dots, black minute/second track, and gold/luminous matching hands. The date display is located at 3 o’clock and the dial is also signed with the Omega name and logo, and Automatic.
 
Cased in a beautiful 34mm round 10K yellow gold-filled case/bezel, and stainless-steel back. As the original in 1965, this watch comes with a vintage brown Genuine Crocodile to-piece strap. This Omega remains in overall crisp condition.
 
A little bit of history – The case back is marked (inside) with the Jonell logo, the letter J and an arrow passing through it, it is the trademark for Jonell Watch Case Inc., a US based case maker. That logo indicates the involvement of another case maker. During that time, when tariffs were very high from complete watches coming from Switzerland, Omega, through their US distributors, contracted companies like Jonell to manufacture its cases; Omega movements and other components were sent to Jonell to be assembled into a case made in the US. From there, taxes were significantly reduced, and the economics of selling a simple Omega dress watch like this one suddenly made more sense.
 
 After 50 years, this watch is still in LOVELY condition! It runs very well, keeps great time.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust the lighting, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
