+WHAT WE LOVE:
In 1948, Eterna introduced the Eterna-Matic, which was revolutionary at the time. The watch used a system of five strategically placed ball bearings on the rotor of its automatic movements. This resulted in much smoother, more efficient winding and greatly increased the life of the movement. This five ball-bearing system has since become the company's logo.
The brand was long known for their movement making prowess, their movements were wholesaled to everyone in the Swiss watch world as ETA movements. This wholesale side of the business was sold off to Swatch group leaving Eterna with just their own name and designs which is what makes this watch so interesting, it is one of the first Eternas in a generation to have an in-house movement from Eterna again.
